Sick and tired of being sick and tired

I don't know what is up with me but I've been feeling like complete SHIT. For the past couple months I've been dealing with insomnia, body aches and stiff joints. Eventually, I caved and went to the Doctor. I've been focusing on other issues with other people that I basically put myself on the back burner. Which is not good, but that's how I roll. My doctor prescribed me some sleep medication. I'm not one for medication. I like to stay away from it as much as I can. I like to look at medication as the last possible answer to problems, yet I'm currently on five medications I take on a daily basis. Yes, FIVE. Funny, right? So, once I had that Rx in my hand for Amitriptyline, I ran to the pharmacy. That just proves how bad my sleep habits have become, me resulting to sleep medication. But I'd like to let everyone know that it has worked and I've been sleeping really well for the past few nights and it is A W E S O M E. Now, if only I can get my child to sleep the entire night! As far as why I'm having insomnia, joint pain, ect, I don't know and neither does my Doctor, yet, so I had blood work done on Friday to test for a few things. Another symptom I've been having is daily headaches, which to me is seemingly normal since I've dealt with them for years. My Doctor looked at me as if I had four eyes. "So you're telling me you have a headache at least once everyday?" "Yes," I replied in a so-what kind of tone. "You realize that's not normal, right?" "Oh?" I said. So Now I have to go see a damn Neurologist!!!! I'm turning into my mother, I have a Doctor for every body part!!! Thankfully, I was able to get and appointment rather quickly (tomorrow) so I can get it over with. I think my Dr just wants to make sure it's something that needs to be further looked into, as in an MRI. Oh, but I'm not done. On Friday, it felt like a cold coming on. My throat was a little sore, but then I thought "oh maybe it's allergies." I woke up on Saturday and I couldn't even swallow my own saliva. It hurt that bad. When I eat or drink anything, even ice cream (which usually is the cure for every sore throat in my opinion) it felt like I was swallowing a million shards of glass. I had no other symptoms, just the sore throat. I could tell immediately it was Strep, since I'm a frequent victim to it. But instead of me going into urgent care, I diagnosed myself and began antibiotics (slaps wrist). But I still feel like crap. So if, my throat still feels this awful tomorrow morning, I will cave yet again and go back to the Doctor. Vent over.
